- "The Elysian Kingdom" is the book M'Benga has been reading his daughter. The alien consciousness pulled the story from Rukiya's mind.
- M'Benga and Hemmer are the only two on the ship who retained their memories.
- When Hemmer's mind was initially probed, he was able to block it because of his telepathic abilities.
- The alien offers to let Rukiya's consciousness join with her, which would allow her to live for eternity, but only as a consciousness in the nebula. Rukiya decides to remain with the alien, whom she names Debra after her mother.
- No one remembers what happened in the missing five hours except for Dr. M'Benga.
- Dr. M'Benga's first name is revealed to be Joseph.
