Synopsis
On Narendra III, Archer stands accused before a Klingon tribunal of conspiring against the Empire, and faces a lifetime sentence on penal colony Rura Penthe.

- This episode has parallels to the motion picture Star Trek VI: The Undiscovered Country and the DS9 episode "Tribunal".
- Archer is found guilty by the Magistrate, but the sentence of death is commuted. He is sentenced to life on Rura Penthe. Kolos is sentenced to one year on Rura Penthe for contempt of court.
- In the end, Reed arrives to rescue Archer, but Kolos remains to serve his sentence.
- The U.S.S. Enterprise NCC-1701-C was later destroyed at Narendra III helping to defend the Klingon outpost against a Romulan attack (see TNG episode "Yesterday's Enterprise").
- J.G. Hertzler (Kolos) previously played General Martok on Deep Space Nine.
