- Orla Brady plays a different character named Tallinn. Tallinn is a supervisor (aka "watcher") who is assigned to watch Renée Picard, an astronaut who plays a pivotal role in history. (It's unclear if Q made her look like Laris to mess with Picard.)
- The Europa Mission launches in three days, and Renée Picard is meant to take part in it, but Q is posing as a therapist and is manipulating her.
- Picard mentions Kirk encountering a similar supervisor, Gary Seven, who appears in the 2nd season finale episode "Assignment: Earth".
- Brent Spiner appears as yet another Soong, this time Dr. Adam Soong. He is a genetics researcher, but his funding and license are revoked and he is banned from genetics research after violating the Shenzen Conventions regarding human genetic testing. Q promises to help him if Soong agrees to help him get rid of Picard.
- Q's 3D printed business card includes a real phone number that plays a voice message from Q when called.
- Isa Briones plays Soong's daughter Kore, who has an incurable genetic disease, and is the reason for Soong's passion for genetics.
- The Borg Queen uses Rios's voice to gain access to the cell network and places a call to emergency services. She lures the police officer to the ship and captures him. Jurati ends up shooting her to save him. Before the Borg Queen dies, she touches Jurati's face, and injects her with nanoprobes.
- Evan Evagora (Elnor) appears briefly to Raffi as a hallucination when the ICE detainees escape the bus.
