- The Borg Queen's coordinates take Picard to Forward Avenue District in Los Angeles, where Guinan's 10 Forward bar is located. He encounters a much younger version of Guinan, who leads him to a watcher. The "watcher" appears to be a human Laris.
- ICE sends Rios to a sanctuary district on the Mexican border.
- Kirk Randolph Thatcher (Mohawk Punk) played the same character from Star Trek IV: The Voyage Home.
- In the final scene, Q is shown observing a young woman (who is named as Renée Picard in the subtitles); he tries to snap his fingers, but nothing happens.
