Plot Synopsis

When Will and Grace meet a stranger named Ned in the elevator, Grace accuses Will of being too nice to people he doesn't know. While Grace befriends Ned and invites him to dinner, Will makes some nasty remarks about him, but they soon discover that Ned's not the best company to keep. Meanwhile, Jack is having trouble at his new company, Out TV, because he feels he can't relate to his co-workers after they mock him about his Cher doll. Karen and Rosario lend some much-needed support.

Notes

Jack obtained his Cher doll in the 3rd season episode "Gypsies, Tramps and Weed".
Will states that they don't even have people they like over for dinner, and says that Rob, Ellen, Joe and Larry have never been over for dinner. However, they have Rob and Ellen over for dinner in #1.01 Pilot, #1.21 Alley Cats, and #4.16 Someone Old, Someplace New. Grace also has Rob and Ellen over for a disastrous dinner in #2.01 Guess Who's Not Coming To Dinner, where they make it pretty clear that they prefer Will's cooking. Grace also has Ellen over for dinner in #5.16 Women and Children First.
