BIOGRAPHICAL DATA
SPECIES:Hybrid-Human/Borg
PLACE OF BIRTH:2341, Tendara Colony
Annika Hansen and her family were assimilated by the Borg when she was still a young child, in 2348. Her mother and father, Magnus and Erin Hansen, were famous Federation scientists. They took their ship, the U.S.S. Raven NAR-32450, and headed toward the Delta Quadrant to conduct scientific research and were never heard from again. After assimilation she became known by the designation "Seven of Nine, Tertiary Adjunct of Unimatrix Zero-One."The interplexing beacon in Seven of Nine's cranial implant has a translink frequency of 108.44236000.
In 2374, Seven of Nine became the liason between the Borg and the U.S.S. Voyager during a joint operation to defeat Species 8472. In exchange for information about Species 8472, the Borg were to grant Voyager safe passage through the vast Borg space. Seven of Nine joined the Voyager crew when her connection to the Borg Collective was severed after her Borg cube was destroyed by Species 8472 bioships. Voyager's EMH Doctor removed many of the Borg implants and her human characteristics resurfaced. Seven currently has approximately 18% of the Borg implants still functioning, including her cranial and occular implants. Even though she is becoming more human, she prefers to be called Seven of Nine, and not Annika.
In 2374, Captain Janeway asked Harry Kim and Seven of Nine to construct a new Astrometrics lab to replace the outdated Stellar Cartography lab. Located on U.S.S. Voyager's Deck 8, Section 29, the new Astrometrics combines Borg and Starfleet technologies to enhance the long range and navigational sensors. The lab features multiple workstations and a large display panel. The database contains all of the navigational data that Seven of Nine acquired while she was a Borg drone.
In 2377, U.S.S. Voyager returned to the Alpha Quadrant through a Borg transwarp conduit, destroying the transwarp hub in the process.
Seven of Nine applied to join Starfleet, but was rejected because of her Borg past. Captain Kathryn Janeway fought against Starfleet's decision, even threatening to resign. Seven abandoned the plans, and decided to go where she could help in another way, by joining the Fenris Rangers.
In 2400, an anomaly in space opened and a Borg ship emerged. The Borg requested asylum and began to assimilate the U.S.S. Stargazer. When Picard initiated the self-destruct sequence, Q intercepted the crew and sends them into an alternate reality. Seven of Nine worked with Picard to set the timeline back, resulting in a truce with the Borg.
Seven of Nine was subsequently admitted into Starfleet with the help of Jean-Luc Picard and Kathryn Janeway. She was given a commission with rank of Commander.
In 2401, Seven was assigned to the U.S.S. Titan NCC-80102-A as Executive Officer, under the command of Captain Liam Shaw. Shaw was not comfortable with a Borg under his command and requested she use her human name.
