Raffaela "Raffi" Musiker was a 24th century Starfleet officer.She grew close to Admiral Jean-Luc Picard while working on the evacuation plans of Romulus due to the supernova threatening to destroy the Romulan star system. After the synthetic attack on Mars in 2385 caused the plans to be abandoned by the Federation — and Picard's subsequent resignation in protest — Musiker was dismissed from Starfleet with a dishonorable discharge following a string of court-martialable offenses.
In 2399, she was enlisted by Picard to assist in an unsanctioned mission to find cyberneticist Bruce Maddox. They uncovered the synthetic attack on Mars was orchestrated by the Romulan Tal Shiar, who was planning an invasion on the synthetic homeworld, Coppelius. After the invasion was successfully prevented, Raffi received the Starfleet Medal of Honor and her Starfleet commission was reinstated. She took a position at Starfleet Academy, once again working for Admiral Picard.
In 2400, an anomaly in space opened and a Borg ship emerged. The Borg requested asylum and began to assimilate the U.S.S. Stargazer. When Picard initiated the self-destruct sequence, Q intercepted the crew and sends them into an alternate reality. Musiker worked with Picard to restore the timeline, resulting in a truce with the Borg.
Raffi has one son, Gabriel, with ex-husband Jae Hwang.
