Ensign Bradward "Brad" Boimler served in the command division of the U.S.S. Cerritos in 2380.Born in Modesto, California and commissioned in 2379, he did not have a single demerit on his record. Prior to visiting Galardon, he had only been to four planets (including Vulcan and Earth), but he was eager to study and learn as much as he could about every species he encountered, and hoped to be a captain one day.
After the Pakled incident in 2380, Captain Will Riker offered Boimler a promotion and transfer to the U.S.S. Titan.
In 2381, a transporter accident created a duplicate of Boimler. Lieutenant "Tom" Boimler remained on the U.S.S. Titan, while the original Ensign Boimler was transferred back to the U.S.S. Cerritos.
