U.S.S. ENTERPRISE NCC-1701-F
The U.S.S. Enterprise NCC-1701-F was launched in 2386, after the destruction of the U.S.S. Enterprise NCC-1701-E.
After the ship was severely compromised, it was scheduled for early decommission in 2401. It took its final run as part of Frontier Day 2401, commanded by fleet admiral Elizabeth Shelby. It led the entire fleet in the launch of the new "Fleet Formation" feature, which links together all Starfleet vessels and allows them to be controlled via automation.
Fleet Formation was used by the Borg to commandeer the fleet, along with assimilated crew members who were activated by a biological component that was embedded in the transporter systems, infecting all crew members whose brains were still developing, typically under 25 years old in humans.
The following year, the U.S.S. Enterprise NCC-1701-G Constitution III-class starship was launched.
