U.S.S. TITAN NCC-80102
The Luna-class U.S.S. Titan NCC-80102 launched in 2379. Newly promoted Captain William Riker took command of the Titan, transferring from the U.S.S. Enterprise NCC-1701-E with his wife Cmdr. Deanna Troi.
Its first mission was to patrol the Romulan Neutral Zone as part of the peacekeeping taskforce after Praetor Shinzon's coup.
The U.S.S. Titan remained in service until 2398, when it was decommissioned due to damage too extensive to repair. Its parts and materials were used in the construction of its replacement, the Constitution III-class U.S.S. Titan NCC-80102-A.
All Luna-class starships are named for moons of the planets of the Sol system, with Luna being the Latin name of Earth's moon.
