- Jay-Den is the only Klingon cadet enrolled in Starfleet Academy.
- Qo'noS, the Klingon Homeworld, was decimated during The Burn and the Klingons left the planet to disperse across the quadrant.
- Faan Alpha, located in Federation space, was determined to be a close match to the environmental conditions of Qo'noS, but the remaining Klingon houses refused to accept the "charity" from the Federation.
- Inspired by Jay-Den's debate speech, the Federation engages the Klingon fleet over Faan Alpha. After a symbolic battle, the Federation surrenders and the Klingons claim the planet.
