• Ronny Cox returns as Edward Jellico, first seen in the Next Generation two-part episode "Chain Of Command". He has since been promoted to Admiral, and outranks Vice Admiral Janeway. He orders her not to follow the Protostar into the Neutral Zone.
  
• Ensign Asencia reveals her true identity to The Diviner. She is also Vau N'Akat and was also sent back in time to stop the Federation.
