• Walter Koenig provides the voice of Federation President Anton Chekov, the son of his Original Series character Pavel Chekov. He is named for Anton Yelchin, who played Chekov in the Star Trek reboots.
  
• Tuvok returns to give Seven of Nine her performance review. She tries to resign, but Tuvok rejects her resignation and she is promoted to captain. Todd Stashwick (Captain Shaw) appears as a hologram recommending Seven's promotion.
  
• One year later, Beverly Crusher has returned to Starfleet as an admiral. She upgraded the transporters to remove the Borg biology from the affected crew as well as enhancing them with Changeling detection.
  
• Jack Crusher has been fast-tracked through Starfleet and is now an Ensign, assigned to the newly re-christened U.S.S. Enterprise NCC-1701-G (formerly the U.S.S. Titan-A).
  
• Seven of Nine is commanding officer of the U.S.S. Enterprise-G, and Raffi is first officer. Sidney La Forge has been promoted to lieutenant junior grade.
  
• In a post-credits scene, Q appears in Jack Crusher's quarters telling him that Picard's trial is over, but Jack's has just begun.
