Notes- Part 2 of 3.
- Romulan Senator Vrax has a pair of Reman bodyguards. This and the following episode are the only time they are seen outside Star Trek: Nemesis.
- T'Pau is now a Vulcan Minister, and the High Command has been disbanded.
- A fleet of 128 ships joins Enterprise in hunting the drone ship. It consists of Andorian, Tellarite, and Vulcan ships.
- Shran's mate, Talas, dies from her injuries after Naarg shot her in "Babel One". Shran challenges him to the Ushaan — a duel to the death — to avenge her, but Archer volunteers to take Naarg's place. During their duel, Archer cuts off one of Shran's antennae, ending the match. According to Phlox, it will grow back naturally in 9 months, half that with treatment.
- The remote pilot appears to be Andorian…
- This episode sets up the beginnings of the forming of the United Federation of Planets, whose five charter members are the planets Earth, Vulcan, Andoria, Tellar, and the human colony Alpha Centauri.
- UPN announced this week that Season 4 will be the last season as it has cancelled Star Trek: Enterprise.
